Aluminium 2014 Wire is an alloy primarily composed of 94-97% aluminium, with significant additions of copper (3.9-5.0%) and small amounts of manganese, silicon, and magnesium. This composition provides excellent strength, making it suitable for high-stress applications. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 430-530 MPa, yield strength around 300-400 MPa, and elongation of 10-15%. Aluminium 2014 Wire has good machinability and is resistant to corrosion, particularly in non-seawater environments.
