Aluminium 5083 Channel form 4.0-4.9% magnesium (Mg), 0.7-1.0% manganese (Mn), 0.1-0.4% chromium (Cr), 0.1-0.4 It is alloyed with % copper (Cu) and contains trace amounts of silicon (Si), zinc (Zn), and iron (Fe). The composite is known for its high durability, excellent corrosion resistance, especially in marine environments, and excellent weldability. Its mechanical properties include 290-370 MPa tensile strength, 230-250 MPa yield strength and 10-15% elongation. The material provides excellent performance in structural marine applications due to its durability in salt water and corrosion resistance.
